Initial Ideas

Idea 1: 

Social issues about the end of adolescence 

Characters: 

Protagonist- Eric (teen – mid-late) going through the later stages of adolescence 

Antagonist – unnamed businessman primarily seen in the dark stalking protag signifies the fear of protag becoming an adult. 

Setting – start off in train station protagonist is alone in centre of light  

Plot summary: 

Events of segment – Protag alone in train station in centre of light to signify his adolescence starting with a wide shot from opposite platform (seems on edge).  Shadow of antagonist approaches protag in a close shot and antag is seen emerging from the shadows protag seems offput and begins to walk away before being met by another businessman. Protag begins to run and is followed where he is cornered by one which in response he shoots with a gun from his pocket. Scene ends with protag in shock with blood splattered on their face as a door slam is heard in the background. 

Idea 2: 

Character undergoing a transformation 

protagonist – Man named James Dunn looks worn down from the stresses of modern life 

Other characters – Family members (2 brothers, wife, child mostly only unmentioned except one brother). Unnamed character accompanying James who forces his realisation of his actions.

Main plot ideas  

protag comes back from work to find his family has been killed along with him soon after by unseen antagonist. Protag wakes up in the middle of a farm alone this is set to be the afterlife. Protag explores and figures out he’s dead and is sent through his past trying to figure out who killed his family but at the end of the film he is forced to the realisation that he was the man who killed his family. Ends on scene of him about to murder his family. 

Segment to be filmed  

Protag initially denies his involvement saying that he loved his family to another character but comes to the realisation he resented them end on him at the house his family was killed in gun in hand cut to after he is in the house family is dead and he points the gun to himself. 

Idea 3: 

Plot summary 

Man estranged from his family is sent a letter inviting him to visit the old family home and fix past mistakes that led them to be estranged which he agrees to. Once he arrives the old house is dilapidated and rotten, he enters the home to search for them only to be met with strange characters and antagonists as he becomes trapped in the house and he must escape. 

Characters: 

Protagonists – Guy Cook mid 20s searching for his family 

Antagonists – many characters that are personifications of childhood trauma at the hands of his family.  

Filmed segment: 

Guy will approach the house and begin to explore before being chased by one of the antagonists leading him further into the house. Guy will then begin to try to find his way out before being met with a looming threat that forces him to hide.
